XP SP2 Retail Purchase

I just ordered a SP2 CD from Microsoft.
SP2 for XP Pro. It's worth the $3.49 it costs. I spent more than that in
time spent downloading and burning to CD,if you value your time like I do.
And I know I have a virus free copy that I trust will work for sure.

It's just that easy.....
Just thought I'd let everyone know.
Microsoft has a lot of service packs, IT Development, and a ton of other
useful informational CD's that most Novice and Guru's alike will like for
just the shipping charge.

Just to let you know, SP2 is two years old now. Expect 50MB or more worth of
updates on Microsoft Update to download after installing SP2.

I knew I could draw someone out with that.
I know how long it has been out but there are people that need it and don't
know everything that you know. I was just trying to be helpful. Helpful, That
is what Microsoft MVP's are here for. And believe me if Microsoft did not
have all of the MVP's that offer there help so freely then there would be a
lot of people that would have simply given up on Windows all-together. Like
when Windows 95 was released. That is what these forums are designed to do,
is it not. Provide information and help for the people that do not have the
time or knowledge to sit in front of a computer screen all day and learn
everything that's needed to know to make just the average home PC, safe and
secure. These are the days of the FAT PIPES like 3.0 MB/sec download speeds,
with Comcast for instance. Always ON connections, OS's that use raw socket
technology, unsecured wireless IP connections, etc. All can be breeding
grounds for thousands of Virus, Trojans, Macro viruses, and a huge list of
problems and network security issues that put knowledge of securing your PC
on the top of the priority list.
All I wanted to do is help someone who simply don't know how to do a ton of
things that need to be done and configured and turned on or turned off. I
like helping people with there computer problems, I learn something new every
time I help someone.

I learned something new today. Sometimes you have to ignore people who can
only find the false in others.

MS does not provide MVPs. Those people qualify for that title, then
volunteer their time.
Windows 95 help, ever hear of Uncle Gus?

Who quilifies the MVP's?
I was just making a point that in my opinion they usually offer some good
advice for free.
This is the main point that I was getting across when I said "MVP's that
offer there help so freely".
When you guys are finished slapping me around for not being exacting in my
posts, please let me know.
Just let me say that MVP's here and in other forums have provided me with a
lot of answers to questions that I just could not completely figure out or
understand and, "I Thank You".

Who quilifies the MVP's?
I was just making a simple point by saying, "MVP's that offer there help so
freely" , and I for one have got a lot of help over the past 2 or 3 years
from these guys/gals and,"I Thank You".
