If your sure it's spelled isass.exe, not lsass.exe, it's associated with a
trojan:

I can tell if is Isass or lsass. It is an error message small red rectangular
screen. What if is a Isass? I can not boot windows xp while the problem
persists. How can i solve it?

One choice is to take a look at some of the links in this Google search for
this error with lsass.exe.
Web:

Google Groups:
http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=&q=lsass.exe operation failed&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wg

Another option is to remove SP2 and correct any underlying problems. The
system must be free of malware and running well for the SP2 update to work
Ok.
