XP sp2 contents

If I reformat a hard drive and do a fresh install of Windows XP without SP1,
does the XP SP2
disk from Microsoft also include XP SP1, or must I first download and
install SP1 (now called
1A) and then apply SP2?

Not quite install SP2 then go to updates on the Web there will probably be
some but not many

Found the answer to be YES !..see the note at the bottom of the page of this
link:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/sp2/overview.mspx

"Note You may recall that Windows XP Service Pack 1 (SP1) was released in
September 2002. If you never installed SP1, don't worry. Every improvement
contained in SP1 is also included in SP2"
