XP SP2 Can't Log On

I have XP set to use the "classic" log on screen. When I am done with my
PC I log off. This leaves it displaying the log on screen where you
enter user name and password and press OK. Twice now since installing
SP2 I have come home to find the text fields disabled so that I cannot
enter text into them to log on. My only option is to restart the
computer. There is nothing in the event viewer at all.

If MSFT doesn't block small attachments, here is a screenshot.

I noticed that this appears to be an issue with Theme switching. You'll
notice that the text boxes have a 3D border, but when my login screen is
working correctly they have a flat 1-pixel border. My user account has
Windows Classic look enabled, and it switches to the default XP look
when I log off. It looks like this switch is not completing properly
sometimes.
