XP SP2 and explorer.exe

I installed SP2 on the first day it was released using the
express update. For a week it went fine, but then
explorer.exe kept crashing, then Dr Watson Postmortem
Debugger crashed as well, and the whole PC freezes until I
pressed CTRL+SHIFT+ESCAPE (Task Manager) and force Dr
Watson AND explorer to close.

When I reinstalled XP back up to SP1 status, it worked A-
OK!!!

can anyone help?

Which antivirus and / or firewall do you use?
Which other programs do you have starting at startup (start > run > msconfig

startup) ?

If you have DivX installed, uninstall it and see if it helps...

Nah, I never had DivX installed on this machine, and I
never have had it on this one, thanks all the same

Another poster mentioned that they solved this issue by disabling the
right-click context entry for Spysweeper. Perhaps you have something
like that?
