XP SP1

I installed XP SP1 on my computer.
I want to uninstall SP1.
Is it safe to do so?
If so how do I do it?
I am doing this because the performance of my computer has degraded after
installing SP1.
 
Click on Control Panel/Add Remove Programs. Then choose SP1 and uninstall.
