XP shutdown

Ken

Win XT Home, SP2

When I shut down Windows, the screen clears normally but then the "Windows
is Shutting Down " screen appears but never completely shuts off -- that
screen just stays.

This is a completely new development.

How can I cure this?

Thanks,

Ken

Undo whatever you did to your software before it started ! You did of
course make a restore point, or better still - made a complete backup of
your system before you made the changes that caused shut-down problems ?
....I suspect not !!
