xp shutdown

Sometimes my computer hangs and the only way I know how to shut it off is by
pressing the power button.
I have windows xp home. I know win98 had a shorcut I could type on the
keyboard that would shut it down.
Does windows xp have a similiar way to shut it down without using the
power key??/
