XP sharing applications

I have recently loaded MS XP, one of the features I
wanted to exploit was that I beleived I could set up
accounts for my children and they would only be able to
see applications I enabled for them.

It seems that I am a technical pygmy as I can only allow
my kids to access thier software by making them
administrators.

How do I restrict certain apps and folders/files to
specific users on a machine without allows the user to
see everything.

I have MS Windows Home edition.

You need to install the programs for their use *from* their accounts.
And if it asks if it is for just that account say Yes.
