I've been trying to install Windows XP Pro but it hangs up
when it comes to recognizing the HD. The BIOS recognizes
is and all seems to be working hardware wise. XP prompts
me to load some files from a floppy, but no matter what I
do I can't get it to do anything with it. I stick the
disk in, press return, and it prompts me to insert the
disk. The floppy drive seems to be working, so I can't
figure it out. Neither can I complete installation. I'm
at a loss as to what to do.

Your floppy disk probably does not contain the files
that are needed. What are their names?

To give the floppy disk drive a clean bill of health,
boot your machine with a win98 boot disk from
www.bootdisk.com.
