XP setup with large SATA hard drives

I recently purchased a new motherboard (ASUS p5kc), Gforce 8500 graphics ,2
GB 800mhz ram and 2 Maxtor 320 GB SATA hard drives. I updated the bios to the
most current version and made all the currect settings. When I run WinXP Pro
setup to format and setup the harddrive Windows only sees 131GB of drive
space. The drivers that came with the motherboard are older then the drivers
that XP loads. Do I need drivers from Maxtor? Or will Windows show all 300 GB
after installation?

Slipstream SP2 to your Windows XP CD and the setup program will be able
to use the whole disk when you do the installation. The problem that
you are having is caused by the 48-bit LBA issue, it is resolved with
Service Pack 2.
