XP Setup freezes during "removing any temporary files used"

I had to reinstall XP as my web browsing stopped working. Now I have a
repeatable setup problem as setup freezes everytime I get to the same point
which is just before completion when the message "removing any temporary
files used" appears.

The system then goes into a continuous reboot.

Any ideas?

Did you do a Repair Install or a Clean Install of XP? If you did a Clean
install
it should have eliminated this problem.

You still left out the most important info, and that is how are
you web browsing? In other words, what browser are you using?
IE (Internet Explorer), AOL, Netscape, NetZero, etc. Whichever
browser you are using, it is not properly installed, or however
you are connected to the Internet by either Cable, DSL or dial-up.
By the info you provided, my or other responses can only be
speculation.
