XP setup does not find my hard drive

windows xp runs set up to a certain point where your asked to press "enter"
to continue.

when i press "enter" message says
setup did not find any hard disk drives installed.

bios is set to "auto" detect the hard drive. i can see the hard drive in
bios.

post shows hard drive "enabled"

any ideas?
 
Do you have Serial ATA drives in your system? If so, you may need to hit
"F6" when setup is starting to install a custom driver.
