Anyone used the XP Service Pack 2 CD to update? XP Home? Any problems?
Things to watch out for?

Many millions of people have done this.

Any problems?

A few reported, hundreds out of millions of installations, which is
statistically insignificant. (But not insignificant to those few who
had problems, I realize.)

a problem that i have heard is that if you originally have xp sp1 and install
the sp2 update, the cd basically becomes useless. unless you plan to reformat
the hd and reinstall xp sp1......

What "CD becomes useless?" And how so? Do you have any facts to go
with your rumor?

Most of the problems associated with installation of a Service Pack are the
result of pre-existing problems.
All problems, known and unknown, should be resolved before installing
anything especially a Service Pack.
