'Evening all.

Bummer!!

I have XP installed but need to try and re-install it as I have a number of
conflicts. It would appear that my teenage son has 'borrowed' my CD case
(with the srl no on) to keep some CD in by a group called 'The Darkness' and
shot off back to school with it (I have his original 'Darkness' CD case with
my XP installation CD in!!).

He manages to wrangle a mobile phone from me and then fails miserably the
answer the ruddy thing as well.

Haven't noticed before because I rarely use the installation CD. As I
already have XP installed is there any way I can see what the srl no is on
the system?

Many thanks in advance.

You can also look on your machine for the PID that the machine is using if
it is OEM. PIDs can be given out to you as well if this was a retail
purchase and you have the rest of your documentation. Check with our
customer service group for more information.

Thats the best one I ever read ... Chas

get the free Aida 32, enterprise edition from
http://www.aida32.hu/aida-download.php?bit=32
which is an excellent general System Info tool, and its Software -
Licenses page will tell you the one used for Windows and ones for
several other items.
