Xp sees 128gigs of 200 Gig Maxtor drive

Got a 200 gig Maxtor drive in a Firewire Enclosure. In the past I have
purchased 200-250 gig usb external drives that showed all 200-250 gigs
when plugged into Windows 2000 without any drivers. The drives were
formated Fat32, converted them to NTFS, no problem.

I have a 200 gig maxtor in an ADSTech fireware external enclosure.
Why will XP only see 128 gigs of the drive? I am aware of the 128 gig
limit for BIOS on older PC's, but I didn't think this extended to USB
and firewire. My pc is a Pent 4 sony Viao 1.5mhz with XP Pro, Sp1 and
all the latest patches.

Maxtor has this MaxBlast software for windows but every time I try to
run it, it "blows up" and won't run. All I need is the driver. What do
I need to run to just get the driver?

thanks
