I can't figure out how to stop xp from trying to
access my a: drive every time I open a program.
I saw that someone else had the same problem
yesterday and I did a search using the FIND command
for *.LNK and a:/ files. It showed alot of files.
Unfortunatly, the person who responded to the problem
didn't offer any more information on what to do with
that list. Does anyone have a solution to this problem?
Thanks in advance.

Sorry, but I forgot to add info that might help. When it
tries to read the a: drive, an error message box pops up
on the screen with RUNDLL.EXE, RUNDLL32.EXE, or GRPCONV.EXE
(I think that is the last one, I'm at work, so I don't have
the spelling for it) in the title block.

That's *.LNK and a:\
Personally, I'd delete anything that came up that way. However, you
might feel more comfortable with Empty Temp Folders, a freeware
utility that looks for and clears away various temporary files and
also detects invalid shortcuts, Empty Temp Folders. (It asks
permission before deleting anything.) Look for the clipboard and
shortcuts tab.
