Xp Search Problem

If I search for a file in Windows explorer and click on "STOP" before the
search finishes the search process does not end, it freezes. I then have to
bring up the Task Manager and kill the explorer session. Believe this is on
Service Pack 2.

Any ideas?

Have you looked at the answers you had in the .general newsgroup when
you asked the same question?
