Im having an odd issues with the 'Search' program in XP (sp2) which I think
is a XP bug.
I am searching for some .pst files. Search returns its list of the files I
have except one - the one I want as it happens - a 200Mb .PST file. It just
ignores it - as if it doesnt exist. It is there - I can access it (in
Outlook) it has no special permissions or funny attributes etc etc - yet a
search completely misses it.
Now if I leave the search window open (the search has completed) then
copying the file (right click copy) will make the copy of it instantly pop-up
in the search window. But re-run the search and the file is no longer found.
Odd! Could be linked to the anti-virus but I doubt it as the file itself
isnt being accessed just the directory. Anyone else seen this?
