After performing windows update, my computer seems to run
slower. I reinstalled windows awhile back after this
problem occured and didn't update windows since until
having to do it now because of the security issues.
Any reason why this may be happening. I have tried disk
defragmenting and disk clean up.
Thanks

Hello!
Security updates make a system a bit slower. But you have to
compromise it if you want to keep your PC secured.
You can uncheck those items which you don't need during
Windows startup. This you can do by:-
start >Run msconfig > startup tab >here you uncheck those
which you don't need >apply > reboot

scan your system with latest virus definitioned antivirus/
spybot as well.

Go to control panel > administrative tools >event viewer
-here you look for any application errors.

If these things are okay there is nothing to get worried.
