Hi All...
I had a problem in my notebook, and for solve it, I used XP System
restore...
Everythink worked very well, except by I don't have any program link in
my desktop. The task bar doesn't appear; to use the programs, I have to
access ctrl+alt+del and use new task... I have all the processes
working in the task manager, but nothing appear in applications. I
restored the system again to try solve the problem, but keep the same
error...
I would like to get some suggestions to solve the problem...
Many thanks
Paulo

Hello Paulo,

Option 1:

Install Microsoft Anti-Spyware and some antivirus program to check your pc
for viruses or malware.

Option 2:
Start your notebook with the Windows XP CD-ROM inserted into drive.
Once the setup program starts, choose a `repair installation` of existing
windows installation

Option 3:

Back up all your sensitive data, format and do a clean install of windows XP

Hope that helps ;)

Taskbar Is Missing When You Log On to Windows

Advice courtesy of Kelly

Control/Alt/Delete - When the Windows Task Manager dialog box appears,
go
to Processes, find Explorer.exe highlight it and choose End Process.

Keep the task manager open then select the File menu and then New Task
(Run). When the Create New Task dialog box appears, type in Explorer and
press the OK button. Windows Explorer should restart complete with the
Taskbar and Start button.

If still nothing: Go back to the Task Manager/File/New Task and type in
msconfig. On the General Tab choose Expand File. Or type in CMD:
expand
x:\i386\explorer.ex_ c:\windows\explorer.exe

Hope this helps.
