My system restore is pointed at my F drive and not my C drive. I can not
find any place to change sytem restore to monitor the C drive. (I think the
system changed itself. I have restored the C drive several times when I goof
up.) 2oo gig C drive, 80 gig f drive plenty of room on both. Where do I
look?

Additional description of problem. I had one drive showing in the System
Restore page in System Properties. I could turn off system restore and apply
it. There would be a check in the box to turn off the system restore. It
would not take. Everytime I tried to turn it off, it would be turned on the
next time I came back to the page.

I fixed it myself. Openned Control Panel, Performance and Maintenance,
Administrative Tools, Services, System Restore Service. I disabled it. I
stopped it. I restarted the computer. Everything was back. Both drives
were again in the Sytem Restore page in System properties.

Why any of this worked is beyond me. It all is back now. Fin

Hi Fritzj,

Disabling or turning System Restore purges all restore points. There
must have been some corruption in the restore points. A possible cause
of this is virus/malware infection.
Here is a combination of utilities that I have found to work very well
in the removal and prevention of virus infection, spyware, parasites,
malware and the like.

Press the Windows and Pause/Break keys together
or
Open Control Panel -- System
or
Right click My Computer and select properties.

Then look at the System Restore tab
