XP repair urgent help needed

Trying to repair windows xp using xp cd and repair blue
screen asks for admininstrator password before repair
initiates. I already tried my admin pass but it says
invalid password. How can I solve this problem?

Hi

If you are trying to Repair XP Pro, it is the password that was entered
during the installation. If you are trying to Repair XP Home Edition, try
leaving the password blank.

did you make a password reset disk ? If not fdiskm format and reinstall is an
option, ask winxp sp2 chat support,MSN comes online and answers questions

I am trying to repair xp home edition and already tried to
leave password blank with no success. Reinstalling it
seems to be a rather dramatic mesure. Any other way?

the software is confusing in my opinion--when I did the
repair option it asked for something like "which windows"
and then a password after I guessed and typed "1" BUT
when I did "install" or "setup" (not the reapir option) it
then gave a "type r for repair" and that worked fine
