XP Repair failed

Please help!!!
My computer had become very slow and after cleaning it up of spyware it was
still acting up so I decided to reinstall XP Pro. After completing the
install aparently uneventfully, when it rebooted, it took me to the screen
where I can choose to boot normally, safe boot, etc. but regardless of the
option I pick it cycles again to the same screen. I tried chkdsk /r and
fixboot without any luck, still takes me to the same screen.
Can anyone please give me some light?

Assuming there are no hardware problems, apparently the malware damaged
your computer too badly. Time for a clean install.

Gus, you most likely did not get all the spyware, trojans and virus. If
you can try doing a Clean Install. Format first.
