XP Repair Console

What do you do when you use your Windows CD to get to the Repair
Console and it asks for the "Administrators Password" and you don't
have one? I'm the only one that uses this computer and am the
'Administrator' but have never set up a password for lack of need. Is
it possible to get past this? Or do I have to set up a password and
then start again?

Every account has a password, even if it is a blank. If you don't
know what it is then you're on thin ice. I strongly recommend that
you create one immediately and record it in a safe place, well away
from your computer. You must also create a second admin account,
with a password, so that you're not left high and dry in case the first
one fails. It's the same as with your car keys - I'm sure you have
more than one set, for perfectly obvious reasons . . .

Try a blank password. If this doesn't help, switch that question off.
BTW, the *recovery* console asks for that password.
