logging into the same XP Pro box at the same time. is this legal or can it be
made legal?

What technologies? Care to name a few?

Have a look at the EULA. It allows only a single user to use a
computer at a time. Having multiple Remote Desktop sessions
would violate the EULA.

Can you please provide a microsoft link that speficically says that only one
user can be log on at a time?

Thanks.

You will find you EULA.TXT file in C:\Windows\System32, and the
applicable part is quoted below.

Except as otherwise permitted by the
NetMeeting, Remote Assistance, and Remote Desktop
features described below, you may not use the Product
to permit any Device to use, access, display or run other
executable software residing on the Workstation Computer,
nor may you permit any Device to use, access, display,
or run the Product or Product's user interface, unless
the Device has a separate license for the Product.
