XP registration

I have given incorrect details on the registration
process and as a consequence when I look in the system
properties the general tab shows the product being being
registered to a ficticious person. I would like the
registered to person to be corrected.

How can I change this?

Why would you knowingly register the product with an incorrectname. Oh
well, perhaps it is a rhetorical question?
You can drill down in RegEdit (Start > Run > type RegEdit and press
Enter) to this key and change the information in your Registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft|WindowsNT\CurrentVersion
Double-click the RegisterOwner key, and change what is there to the
correct information. That's it.
