I have been having various rebooting problems with XP since I did a fresh
new install *including* SP2 on my system. I have followed the advise
previously given to me using the "eventvwr" to try to determine what if
anything might be logged that might identify the culprit with NO success.
I have also set the computer to BLUESCREEN rather than just reboot, in order
to troubleshoot any error message presented.
Inevitably upon the first startup of the computer, it will reboot sometime
during the startup routine or at the desktop and I will see this Bluescreen:
"The problem seems to be caused by the following file: CLASSPNP.SYS
Page_Fault_In Non Paged_Area"
Stop: 0x00000050 (0x803E7380,0x00000000,0xF8596E0F
CLASSPNP.SYS Address F8596E0F Base F85960000 Date Stamp 41107ec2
Could someone here please interpret this for me or at least tell me whether
I am dealing with a hardware or software issue?
P.S. Also..... curiously enough when I do a search for *wuauclt.exe* my
computer will crash!!
Thanks in advance
