i'm sure this question has appeared in one form or another many times but
still hope i will get some good answers.
my windows xp is riddled with viruses (30+ according to my avg virus
protection program). i want to wipe it clean and re-install everything.
i know ms will allow this (original program on the same computer) but i have
a few questions.
1. how does ms know, after i reformat, that this is going to the same
harddrive?
2. would this be as simple as it was the first time i loaded it in?
including activation and all?
3. do i need to notify ms before i attempt this move?
4. is there anything i am overlooking?
thanks for any help.
