Hello,
When I try to burn home mpeg files ranging from 1mb-3gb, my burning programs
(nero 6.6, windvd creator, etc) all freeze up when I import them into a
project. I can play them all fine, but when I work with them they freeze up.
I use to have Roxio EZ CD Creator 6 (now uninstalled) and I am running XP Pro
with sp2. I have tried slowing my video card acceleration down and defraging,
but this did not help. Any ideas are greatly appreciated!

How much free space on your hard disk?

Have you placed any restrictions on your page file size?

You may check on pagefile (virtual memory) usage with Page File Monitor
for XP:

Are there any error messages in Event Viewer? You can access Event
Viewer by selecting Start,
Administrative Tools, and Event Viewer. When researching the meaning of
the error, information
regarding Event ID: and Source Description is important.

If you uninstall Easy CD it will leave unsatisfied references in the
registry. To tidy up, get a registry patch file, cdgone.reg, from
www.aumha.org/downloads/cdgone.zip, extract it, r-click on it and merge
it into the registry and reboot

You will then need to reinstall any burning software that you *do* use.

Hi Gerry, thank you for your reply. I tried your suggestions and checked my
event viewer and my pagefile size. Unfortunately, they left me at a dead end.
The page file has plenty of space and the event viewer left me a generic
error number for "application hang." I have recently removed spy ware using
adaware and spybot. I am thinking that these may have something to do with
it. I am going to uninstall my burning programs and reinstall and see if this
fixes everything.
