XP Professional upgrade

I was considering buying a Student upgrade or upgrade to
Windows XP Professional. I had a Windows Millenium
upgrade once, and it allowed you to do a fresh install on
a clean drive if you had a Windows 98 key. Does Windows
XP Professional Upgrade offer this? I have Windows XP
Home installed on this computer, and an unused key on the
bottom of it (a laptop) that I want to upgrade from.

You may perform a "clean install" of Windows XP using
the "Upgrade Version" of Windows XP if you own a
Microsoft Windows 95/98/ME/2000 installation CD and
that operating system is no longer installed on another computer.
