XP Professional hangs up and does not boot

My XP professional system also does not boot up the first
time, but hangs up before you even see the "Welcome
Screen". I do not see any error messages and I cannot
figure what is causing this. I have to turn on the machine
a second time before it boots up.Can someone who has an
idea to resolve this help me.

My experience with this problem has been drivers, make
sure your system is update. Video/sound/ect

Some older sound cards are often trouble.
