When I boot Windows XP Professional, it loads my desktop, and a few of
my startup applications, then hangs for approximately 1 - 2 minutes
before magically continuing to load my remaining startup applications.
Is their any way to diagnose what might be causing this extended
pause?
The machine is a notebook with a wireless network connection. The
pause occurs before the network connection settings are loaded. I am
wondering if perhaps Windows is searching for network resources prior
to actually establishing network connections???
