i had XP Home, and installed XP Professional. When the
CPU is rebooted, i had the screen choice of selecting
which OS to start -- Home or Professional. I tried to
remove some programs on Home edition to free up hardrive
space. Now Professional wont start. It just keeps
bringing me back to the selection screen where i pick
either Home or Prof. Why wont Professional start? help!

What exactly did you delete, and how did you try and do it? Through Control
Panel, or manually deleting files?

Obviously you did something more than just "removed some programs" that
damaged Windows. You might try a 1) System Restore from Safe Mode; 2)
if that doesn't work, try a Repair Install; 3) if that doesn't work,
format the drive, clean install Windows, reinstall drivers and
programs, restore data from backups. If you want more specific help,
please post back with a better description of what you did, the
problem, any error messages, and what you've done to troubleshoot.

Good luck,

Malke
