XP Pro Windows "Cache 338" folder

John

In this version of Windows, there is a subfolder, "Cache
338." I had enquired about this folder a couple of months
ago and was told it was safe to empty contents. It kept a
record primarily of ads and commercials attached to
whatever websites had been visited. I have noticed that
now it isn't picking up anything at all. Was there a log
or some other device that got thrown out that was
supposed to remain and can I recover it from a utilities
disk (or other resource disk) or is it not really worth
messing with?

Thanks for your advice--John

I386 was the backup of your operating system. I doubt that
anyone in here would have told you to delete it. If you
have a XP windows disk you can copy it from it to restore
it.
