You are understanding it perfectly.
You just want to clear the way for you to use the the name
you want for your login and ultimately the folder that
will contain your settings, documents, etc. Windows will
not allow you to remove the "lhjk" folder because it is
being used by the associated account, even though it was
renamed.
By restoring the name to "lhjk", you can create the
user "your name", which will create a "your name" to store
your docs, settings, etc.
Then by using the user management and user profiles, you
can delete the old acount and profiles.
I did miss one thing, you will probably want to delete
the "lhjk" account from the users as well, doing so may
delete the profile and associated files, then you can
check the "user profiles" in "My Computer" properties to
delete the profile for good if need be.

This message is for Bob Michion. Thank you for responding
to my input. I have a follow up question here is my
original input:
I bought a new laptop with XP PRO, on which there was
already a user created with the name lhjk. I renamed that
user logon to my name but the associated folder under
Documents and settings still shows the old name lhjk. I
cannot rename that folder, because it says itâ?Ts a
windows system filder windows needs to function.
Clarify question to your response:
I log on to the machine as user with admin rights. I then
rename that first user again to lhjk. Then I create a new
account with the name I wish to use, (the name I initially
renamed it to "my name)). Then I should be able to delete
that user lhjk which should also delete the folder. Am I
correct? Your response is greatly appreciated. When I
create that new user, can I use the same name I initally
used (my name)?
