xp pro upgrade

I loaded XP PRo upgrade on an windows 98 machine. 15 days
later after the activation period it is asking me to
activate up booting up after logon. I don't get any
windows screens or anything the activation menu is up and
it says that my product key has exceeded the maximum
number of activations. Enter another key or call customer
service.

If I go purchase an xppro upgrade cd and license can I use
that activation key to get into windows.

If you purchase a retail version of XP Pro upgrade CD you will have to do a
repair install over the previous install/setup to make thing right.

Did you call Customer Service as suggested?
Choose the option to activate by phone.
Call the number on the screen, done in about 5 minutes.

This applies as long as that Windows XP license is not currently
installed on another computer.
