XP Pro Upgrade Install

I've been trying to install the XP Pro 2 Upgrade on my wife's machine. The
first attempt pretty much wiped out the HDD (IDE FAT32, 32 MB Partition).
The machine would not boot from the HDD, and constantly cycles through the
initial setup screen when booting fom the CD.
The last attempt appeared to be working, but once the files were copied and
the machine rebooted, I received a "missing operating system" message.

It was nice that the Install cd recognized the Win '98 CD as a valid upgrade
pathj after I tried reformatting.

How do I get this to work?

Tried the clean install. When it was done copying files and restarting, it
would either restart the setup off of the CD or give me the missing OS
message trying to boot from the HD.

Bah...
Turns out the HD has a bad boot sector or something. Installed the old 20GB
drive and everything's going like clockwork.

Thanks for the assistance!
