XP Pro upgrade getting stuck

I am trying to upgrade from win2k to XP Pro, the setup
program is sticking during the "Installing Windows" stage
at the "Completing Installation..." step (Appox. 24
minutes left). I've got well above the minimum hardware
requirements, the thingy said there would be no hardware
or software conflicts if I upgraded. I've tried
restarting the computer and it still gets stuck at the
same place. Does anyone know what's going on?

I think you should try to boot your PC from the XP cd and do a clean install ,
If the problem still exist , that should be something wrong with your hardware
