XP Pro Splash Screen

When starting my laptop, WinXP Pro displays a nice splash screen with a busy
little progress bar. Is there a way to edit that screen? Make it a
customized screen.

Its not easy to edit. See www.belchfire.net for some pre-made ones, and you
can probably find instructions on how to make your own. Just a note: Be
careful, you can render your machine unbootable.
