Just about got the new system up and configured. However, I am running into
something rather strange with XP. I use a Netdrive client which allows me to
connect into Novell systems and see the Novell drives in Windows Explorer as a
mapped drive. It also allows one to set up WebDav connections to Window
machines as mapped drives. I have used it with my Win2K systems without any
problems.
Under XP Pro, the client connects and builds a nice mapped drive in Windows
Explorer. I can copy/move from/to the NetDrive mapped drive (mapped to both
Novell and Windows systems) and local folders without any problems.
However, if I do a right-click properties on one of the Netdrive mapped
files/folders the entire system hangs. I mean really hangs. I have to do a
power on/off boot to get it back. I can do the same thing on other
non-Netdrive mapped drives without problems.
Can anyone offer any insight as to what would cause XP to hang? The
workaround, of course, is not to do right-click properties. However, having
done this for a while I sometimes forget ...
