XP Pro Small Business Network - Unavailable

Last weekend I had an employee in my office working on a workstation, the only one, connected to my XP Pro server. When I came in Monday, it was chock full of porn and advertising. When I cleaned it all out, it won't access the server anymore. I scanned for viruses, but nothing. I have tried to delete the connection and reinstall it using Win XP networking wizard, but I still get nothing. Yesterday I saw the servers' workgroup, not sure what I did, but every time I clicked on it was "unavailable." Where can I start to reconnect to the server. I have checked all the physical connections three times or more. I run into a router connected to the cable modem. The server is connected the same way. It is difficult because the employee refuses to accept that he did anything

Adware and spyware can damage normal network functionality. When you say
you "cleaned it all out", what tool did you use to do so?

If your cleaning didn't include a copy of AdAware from
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/ and CoolWeb Shredder from
http://www.merijn.org/cwschronicles.html I'd recommend that you do use these
tools. Be sure you self-update AdAware before running it.
