xp pro - slow novell dos application

I'm using ms netware client - dos application slows down
all other applications - dos application is on a novell
server

Any suggestions to minimize the slowing affect of a dos
application and/or novell application in xp.

Are you running pure IP or IP/IPX? Have you tried Client 32 for Netware?

1. I'm running ipx/spx to the Novell server, IP only for
internet apps
2. No I haven't tried Client 32 for Netware

What kind of Novell server? Did you match frame type? Try hard setting
your speed and duplex mode? Is your network fully switchable or have hubs?
If fully switched, use full duplex. If any hubs, half-duplex.
