XP Pro shuts down VERY slowly

It often takes 5-10 minutes for Win XP to shut down. Is there a checklist
of things to do to prevent this annoyance?

If you have split the pagefile over two drives, or set up a pagefile of
equal size on a second drive, and set the computer to clear it at shutdown,
that can take time..
