For the last 24 hours my machine has (occasionally) been restarting itself.
A BSOD appears for a split second and then the machine restarts. After
restarting the machine may go hours before it happens again. No dump log or
event error is created. No Virus's are found by Norton's. Everything is
properly updated.
I have unchecked the automatically restart option in the startup and
recovery options, and made sure that the checkboxes for error reporting are
selected, but no log or error is written.
I have also noticed that the "webclient" service is failing to start. No
event error is written, but searching through the services I noticed it say
"starting" as its status. I am unfamiliar with this service, and cannot
find much information on it.
Could this service be the cause of the restarting and what is it used for?
How can I go about repairing this service?
Finally, how can I find for certain what is causing my system to restart?
Any help is appreciated.
