XP Pro repair problem

I'm running a repair of my XP Pro installation on one of my PCs. However,
I've mislaid the original XP disk, so don't have the product key to enter.

I did keep a copy of the wpa.dbl file and I do have the product key from one
of my other XP Pro PCs.

Will it work if I finish the repair using this product key and then copy the
wpa.dbl file back to its original location?

I just did a repair install last week and was never prompted to enter my
product key.
