XP Pro Reinstall-CD-

One of my computers needs to have a "Wipe & reinstall". The origional CD is
SP1, i have a later CD from a later purchased machine (same manufacturer)
that is SP2. Can I save time by using the SP2 and the "Key" from the
origional SP1 machine?
I have all disks and am the origional owner of both machines.

If the CDs are the same type, yes, this works. You'll find out if they
aren't quite early in hte process, when you're asked to type in the key.

You should also slipstream your CDs to make SP3 copies. This is pretty
easy to do; google 'slipstream XP'.
