XP Pro not shutting down

Ok, hope someone can help. When I shut down PC it always does a restart??
Howcome? Thanks in advance,
 
Is there any other information you think would be important for us to
know in order to help you? Or would like someone to take a lucky guess?
 
Can't think of anything else to add. Just started suddenly, as far as I can
remember. It has been going on for awhile.
