We have just added 3 new Dell XP Pro workstations to our existing network. Two work on the network, one is not seeing any Network Places. It can be pinged, and can ping other PC's, and the Gateway. The IPConfig information is correct, based on setup. Any suggestions, as we are missing some detail??

Greetings jcrwhistler,

Try testing your network and see if you can access the other computer and
shares this way.

Click Start | Run, then type one of these commands in the box and click OK:

\\computer

\\computer\share

\\IP-address

\\IP-address\share

Is your computer has Norton Security, if yes you need
configure.
OR you need to review your network configuratoin
(Computer name and workgroup on the mean computer)
OR Try to Re-create your Network Setup Wizard from the
begning to be sure about Network configuratoin.
Hope this will help.

Eric,
Where does one find info on commands like those you suggested?

There must be a bunch and I'd like to know about them.

Thanks,
Alex
