XP Pro log in failure after trying to change domain

Hello,

I had to reinstall an NT 4.0 SP6a server. On two XP Pro
laptops, when I logged off the domain by changing from
domain to workgroup in the 'my computer' properties page,
I have to reboot after the reboot, none of the users
login name and passwords work, now I'm locked out of two
laptops. What am I doing wrong? Please help....

On a different note, I also have an email server running
Win2000 server using MDaemon email software. The problem
is my users frequently get an error message saying they
cannot locate the smtp server or they can recieve mail
but cannot send. This happens randomly and at different
times to many users. Sometimes all it takes is shutting
down Outlook and restarting it. Any help will be greatly
appreciated. Thanks.
